5. Legal basis for processing
We process personal information on one or more of the following lawful grounds under POPIA:
- Consent — where you have given us clear permission to process your information;
- Contract — where processing is necessary to perform a contract with you (e.g. transporting a load or paying a subcontractor);
- Legal obligation — where we must process information to comply with the law (e.g. tax records, accident reporting);
- Legitimate interest — where processing is necessary for our legitimate business interests and does not override your rights.
6. Who we share your information with
We never sell your personal information. We share it only where necessary to provide our services, including with:
- Transport partners and subcontractors — job, load and delivery details required to perform a transport service;
- Clients and customers — load progress, tracking, weighbridge and proof-of-delivery information;

- Regulators and authorities — where required by law, court order or for safety/road compliance.
Where your information is transferred outside South Africa (for example to cross-border service providers or to track SADC loads), we take reasonable steps to ensure it receives a level of protection comparable to POPIA.
7. How we protect your information
We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to safeguard personal information, including:
- Secure, encrypted connections (HTTPS) for all portals and applications;
- Role-based access controls so users only see the information relevant to them;
- Encryption of sensitive data (such as bank details) at rest;
- Secure authentication, session management and audit logging;
- Regular monitoring and review of our security controls.
8. How long we keep your information
We keep personal information only for as long as is necessary for the purposes described in this policy, or as required by law (for example tax and accounting records are retained for the statutory periods). When information is no longer needed, we securely delete or anonymise it.
9. Cookies and website usage
Our website uses cookies and similar technologies to improve your browsing experience and understand how the site is used. You can control or disable cookies in your browser settings. The cookies used do not collect more information than is needed for these purposes.
